About Raphael

It all began with a deep passion for art nurtured within an artistic family. Raphael Gregorio pursued formal art education at leading institutions, including the University of the Philippines, where he earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.

A highly dedicated practicing artist and art educator, Ralph brings extensive experience in art instruction, talent development, and exhibition practice. His enduring commitment to the arts is reflected in his many workshops and classes conducted for diverse communities and institutions—among them the National Parks Development Committee at Luneta (Rizal Park) in Manila and the Cultural Center of the Philippines.

Transcending the Visible

Ralphael maintains that his artistic pursuits extend beyond personal expression to serve a broader purpose. His artworks invite viewers to pause, contemplate, and absorb the relentless flood of visual stimuli that defines modern life. Through abstract expressionism and surrealism—artistic modes manifested in media such as traditional painting—he seeks to interpret and reveal the subtle, often intangible concepts that arise from the shared experiences and subconscious depths of the human mind.

The artist, as creator, possesses the power to imagine realities beyond the present one. As artists, we can pierce the veils of existence and transcend our own subjectivities to glimpse other worlds, possibilities, and states of being. Imagination becomes both a tool and a compass—allowing us to construct the world we desire or chart a path toward transformation. In times defined by crisis and conflict, art serves not only as a portal, a window, or a passage into alternative realms, but also as the vital spark capable of igniting change and shaping a more luminous and humane reality.
